What’s in store this month

whatsinstore nov 13 3Catch the textile display while you can. It will all change in a few days. Debbie Rudolph’s wool weaving is a great way to be comfy and stylish now that the weather is getting colder.

We have had new deliveries of Beverley Bailey’s embroidered book covers and of Helen Edwards’ bookmarks. They are perfect Christmas presents and also very good to send in the post, like all textile work.

whatsinstore nov 13 2We have also had new deliveries from Sarah McCormack who is well known for her clocks as well as raku fired ceramics like cottages, tapirs and birds.

As it is racing towards Christmas now, lots of our artists have made new work and we have a great selection of uniquely personal and hand-made gifts for everyone and all budgets.

Whatsinstore nov 13We are currently working on posting more in the online gallery. Why not subscribe to make sure you do not miss updates.

This year you can shop in the evening, too. We are open late for the Christmas light switch on and Thanksgiving celebrations here on the Barbican on Thursday 28th November. This event includes a lantern parade through Southside Street. There is also Barbican wide late night shopping on Wednesdays 4th and 11th of December 2013. Many independent shops and cafes and restaurants will remain open until 8pm on both evenings.
