Plymouth based ceramic artist Sarah McCormack makes these beautiful and witty ceramic clocks.
She first started the series with a ‘Stroppy clock’ frustated by her own experience of time keeping and trying to fit everything into a day. Since then her clocks have developed into a quirky parade of cheerful and friendly clocks full of humour with birds sitting on their shoulders, elaborate headdresses and flowers growing at their feet.
They have spawned a number of other smaller work including these bird islands and trees.
Her fascination with birds also developed into these dovecotes, which a lovely wedding or anniversary gift.
